The Department offers a 4-Year B.E. Degree Programme in Information Technology. To transform individuals into technologically competent and socially responsible professionals in Information Technology.
Provide individuals relevant knowledge in Information Technology through curriculum.
Develop skills to apply knowledge of Information Technology to profession.
Create awareness amongst students about continuous lifelong learning.

The ability to apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and Information Technology to the solution of complex engineering problems.
The ability to identify and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
The ability to design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
An understanding of research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
The ability to create, selects, and applies appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
The reasoning ability informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
The understanding of the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts.
The ability to apply ethical principles and commitment to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
The ability to function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
Effective communication capability on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.

The Department is equipped with -- labs, departmental computer centre, departmental library,
seminar hall, classrooms with modern teaching aids and staff rooms.

Red Hat Linux, Java 1.6 software with printing facility..
2. Multimedia Lab : Total 20 P-IV computers connected in LAN. The lab is equipped with Red Hat
Linux, IBM Rational Rose, Java 1.6 software with printing facility..
3. Computer Graphics Lab : Total 20 P-IV computers connected in LAN. The lab is equipped with Red
Hat Linux, Java 1.6 software with printing facility..
4. Simulation &Modeling Lab : Total 20 Thin Client computers connected to the central High
Speed Server . The lab is equipped with Packet Tracer, Active HDL softwares..

It is our immense pleasure to put forward to you this edition of the e-magazine of
Information Technology department.
Information Technology is the use of computers & software to process information and spans
wide variety of areas that include, but are not limited to things such as processes,
computer software, information systems, computer hardware, programming languages, and data
constructs. Some of modern and emerging fields of Information Technology are next
generation web Technologies, Bioinformatics, Cloud Computing, Global Information System,
large scale Knowledgebase’s etc.
At Information Technology Department we extend it further to the core of education &
knowledge. The main purpose is to conceive and achieve the goals of every individual in the
department. We study Discipline, Technology and Management to make our near future brighter
and better in all aspects and make our country more advanced in use of new technologies for
the solutions of future problems.

Features of Information Technology department
Information Technology department provides various laboratories like: Computer Software
Lab, Multimedia Lab, Computer Graphics Lab, and Simulation& Modeling Lab. Also IT
department boast features like, Well Equipped Classrooms, Departmental Library etc.
This e-magazine would provide a platform to all the members of Information Technology
department to share achievements, knowledge and happening in and out of the campus.
This issue will carry the achievements, articles of students as well as of faculty members.
