About IIIE Cell

At the Gharda Institute of Technology, Lavel (GIT), the Idea Innovation Incubation & Entrepreneurship Cell (IIIE Cell) is dedicated to nurturing creativity, promoting innovation and empowering student entrepreneurs. We serve as the bridge between engineering education and startup mindset — helping our students transform ideas into impactful ventures.

Gharda Institute of Technology, Lavel, Khed had also established its Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC ID: IC201912592) during the academic year 2018–19, in line with the guidelines of the Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, Government of India. Since its inception, the IIC has been actively engaged in fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among students and faculty.

Our Vision

Our Mission

  1. To nurture innovation by providing resources, mentorship, and a supportive ecosystem through the Idea Innovation Incubation process.
  1. To promote industry collaboration and funding opportunities for technological and economic growth, fostering an enterprise-driven culture.
  1. To equip aspiring entrepreneurs with skills and training for successful venture creation.

What We Do?

Idea Generation & Workshops

We organise regular workshops, hackathons and brainstorming sessions to spark creativity and help students identify problemareas, build mindmaps, and generate viable ideas.

Incubation & Prototyping Support

Selected student/faculty teams gain access to lab space, mentoring, prototype funds, and other facilities to convert ideas into working models and Minimum Viable Product (MVPs).

Mentorship & Networking

We connect innovators with faculty mentors, industry experts, alumni entrepreneurs and funding agencies. Regular interaction with successful entrepreneurs helps shape mindset and execution strategy.

Entrepreneurship Competitions & Events

We host events such as Idea Competitions, Startup Pitches, Demo Days and seed funding challenges (for example, the “Innovate @ GIT – Your Ideas, Our Platform” launch event on 28 July 2025). These offer platforms to present ideas, receive feedback, win resources, and get recognised.

Incubator to Accelerator Pathways

Once a venture is matured, we help it scale further—linking with external incubators, angel investors, regional startup ecosystems and government schemes (e.g., funding via state or central innovation initiatives).

Awareness & SkillBuilding

We run sessions on business model development, innovation management, intellectual property rights (IPR), market research, pitching, finance basics, and startup legalities; thereby equipping students with entrepreneurial skills.
