Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern the rights and responsibilities of all students, faculty, staff, and visitors of Gharda Institute of Technology (hereinafter referred to as “the Institute”). By enrolling in or being associated with the Institute, all stakeholders agree to abide by the rules, regulations, and policies set forth by the Institute.

1. Admission & Enrollment

  • Admission to the Institute is granted based on eligibility criteria set by statutory authorities (e.g., AICTE, DTE Maharashtra) and the Institute’s internal admission policies.

  • Submission of false information or forged documents during the admission process will result in immediate cancellation of admission without refund.

  • Students are required to pay fees as per the prescribed schedule. Non-payment may result in withholding of services, access, or cancellation of admission.

 

2. Academic Conduct

  • Students must maintain a minimum level of attendance as specified by the Institute (typically 75% or as per AICTE norms).

  • Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or academic dishonesty is strictly prohibited and will be subject to disciplinary action.

  • Students are expected to submit assignments, projects, and attend examinations on the scheduled dates.

 

3. Code of Conduct

  • All students must behave respectfully towards faculty, staff, and fellow students.

  • Ragging is strictly prohibited under the Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act and is a punishable offense.

  • Acts of violence, discrimination, or harassment (verbal, physical, or sexual) will not be tolerated.

  • Use or possession of drugs, alcohol, or illegal substances on campus is prohibited.

 

4. Hostel Terms (If Applicable)

  • Hostel residents must follow the hostel rules as issued by the warden or hostel committee.

  • Any damage to hostel property will be charged to the responsible student(s).

  • Night curfew and visitor policies must be strictly followed.

  • Possession of prohibited items such as weapons, flammable materials, or intoxicants is strictly forbidden.

 

5. Use of Institute Facilities

  • Institute facilities (labs, library, sports, etc.) are to be used responsibly and only for academic or authorized purposes.

  • Misuse of facilities may result in suspension of access or disciplinary action.

  • Students must return library books and other borrowed items on time to avoid fines.

 

6. Fees, Refunds & Withdrawals

  • Fee structures are set by the Institute in compliance with regulatory bodies.

  • Refund of fees (if any) is subject to the refund policy stated in the admission brochure or AICTE/DTE guidelines.

  • Students who wish to withdraw must submit a formal written application. Fees paid will be refunded (if applicable) according to the stated refund policy.

Additional Payment Terms:

  • Transaction fee charges will not be refunded or reversed under any circumstances, including but not limited to refund, reversal, chargeback, or any other reason.

  • Transaction fees charged will be borne by the cardholder for any online or digital payment made to the Institute.

 

7. Privacy & Data Use

  • Personal data collected by the Institute will be used for academic and administrative purposes only.

  • The Institute respects students’ privacy and complies with applicable data protection laws.

 

8. Disciplinary Actions

  • Violation of any rule may result in warnings, suspension, expulsion, or other disciplinary measures.

  • The decision of the Institute’s Disciplinary Committee will be final and binding.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

  • The Institute is not liable for loss or damage of students’ personal belongings.

  • In case of unforeseen events (natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, etc.), the Institute reserves the right to alter academic schedules or policies without prior notice.

 

10. Amendments

  • The Institute reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated via official channels such as the website or notice boards.

 

11. Pricing

  • The fee structure for each academic year/program is defined by the Institute and is made available through the official website and admission brochures.

  • Prices may vary based on:

    • Type of course/program (UG, PG, Diploma, etc.)

    • Category of admission (CAP, Institutional Quota, NRI, etc.)

    • Hostel and transport facilities (if opted)

  • All fees are subject to change as per government regulations or institutional policies.

  • Late fees may be charged for payments made after the due date, as per Institute rules.

  • GST or any other applicable taxes, if levied by the government, will be charged extra wherever applicable.
